Spadafora is a noble Sicilian family, the first certified traces of which date back to 1230. Over the centuries, the House has held sway over five principalities, one duchy, two marquisates, one county and twenty-five baronies. Some of the members of the family held high positions in the Kingdom of Sicily and in some European states.
