On October 6th, Caravanserai Palermo presents MOONSESSION #22, hosted at MojoCoHouse, featuring a unique performance by resident artists Tsivi Sharett (pianist and composer) and Wallace Andrade (percussionist, actor, and filmmaker), as a preview of the workshop they will lead in the same space from Wednesday, October 9th to Friday, October 11th.
The artists will present “Altair, O Maestro em forma de Samba”, a musical and theatrical performance that tells the story of Altair, a composer and sambista from São Paulo, Brazil. The show blends traditional Brazilian music, with instruments like pandeiro, tambourim, and timba, and theatrical storytelling, offering an exciting evening celebrating samba culture.
Tsivi Sharett, based between London and Tel Aviv, is passionate about Brazilian music, while Wallace Andrade, from São Paulo, has dedicated his career to exploring various art forms, from music to cinema.
Attendance is free, but registration is mandatory due to limited seating.
Before the performance starts, a voluntary contribution (suggested amount 10 EUR) will be requested to fully support the artists.
The event is open to Caravanserai Palermo members only, with a 3 EUR membership fee payable on-site. Membership also grants access to all future events organized by the association, including workshops, exhibitions, concerts, and the Tuesday night jam sessions!
